Enemy Of God 01:57
2.
Blue collar masquerade easily confused with the simple truth that you are no longer whom that you like to think you are. Why do you pretend that the silver spoon you suck hasn't been what you depend on for: Life. For work. For greed. And worse you use it for love. For friends. For me. Grandmothers and grandfathers of the baby boom. Know not of what might come it's not understood. Tell me how would one distinguish thyself from thee? Born into the name that held majority: In Life. In Work. In Greed. Still, you've never known love or friends. Nor me.

Are you mad about what you want that you can't have? Take it back. Exchange all your goods for something bad. Don't be sad. Turn off your phone for once. Not to alarm you, but, everything you fear is beckoning. Speculation and myth define you and you will be antiquated. Set free all of your hardest truths and basque in your clear conscience. Contraband draining all account declining fast. Such an act of profound composure disguised as fact. Speculation and myth define you and you will be antiquated. Set free all of your hardest truths and basque in your clear conscience.

Love conquers all. War and disease but most of all my bad side. You crossed out the minus and made me right. I don't need my inhaler anymore. You opened my lungs, now my heart's not sore. Sometimes I hope that it's all in my head. No more medication we could just lay in bed. You make me smile and show all of my broken teeth. My oh my. No-one can compete and it's no surprise. That I don't feel so lost anymore. You pulled all my heartstrings, my hearts not sore. It beats like a drum in a marching band. It plays in double time when you hold my hand.
6.
If you want I would carry you home.

8.
All will become undone. Forgotten. Your rights and wrongs. Gone. Forgiven. Who I once was. A missing person. And we won't know how.

10.
Don't tell me that nothing's wrong. Whose side do you think I'm on? Nothing less than holding true. Is all I can promise you. I know know that I said I wanted to die. But now, I don't know that guy. What the hell are we running from? Everything that can is going wrong. Texas hold 'em and me too. Everything on black with you. Jesus knows what time we're at? God, I've never needed a drink this bad. Passing dust from palm to palm. Always saying that it will be the last one.

about

The debut full length offering from Coping Mechanism. This brainchild of Phillip Taylor (PAWS) sees him trade, for the most part, his usual weapon of choice in the guitar for a more calculated cacophony of electronic arsenal.

Having flitted back to his native Highlands after a decade of living in Glasgow and world touring schedules with PAWS, his new home studio on a small farm cottage on the Scottish north coast is bursting at the seams with vintage casiotones, drum machines, samplers and other niche vintage electronic equipment.

As well as offering more experimental soundscapes with recordings such as the opener Enemy Of God, the album presents tracks like Silver Spooners which offers a colder side to the pop songwriting and lyrical content on Desire Caught By The Tail and Texas Hold Me which shouldn't seem all to unfamiliar to fans of Taylor's songwriting projects to date.
